Please read these terms carefully before using our services or submitting your details.
WebSpore is a web design and development business based in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland. We provide website design, e-commerce, local SEO, and website maintenance services to businesses across Fife and the surrounding areas.
When this policy refers to "WebSpore", "we", "us" or "our", it means the WebSpore business operated by Charlie, Kirkcaldy, Fife.

WebSpore provides the following services:
- Custom website design and development
- E-commerce store setup and development
- Local SEO services
- Monthly website care and maintenance plans
- Logo and brand identity design
- Copywriting and content creation
All services are subject to a separate client agreement or proposal confirmed in writing before work commences. A 50% deposit is required before work begins with the remaining balance due on completion.
When you submit our website brief or contact form, we collect the following personal data:
- Your name and business name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Information about your business and website requirements
- Your budget and timeline preferences
We only collect information that is necessary to respond to your enquiry and provide our services. We do not collect sensitive personal data.
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your enquiry and provide a quote
- Build and deliver the services you have requested
- Communicate with you throughout your project
- Send invoices and project updates
- Improve our services based on your feedback
The legal basis for processing your data is legitimate interests (responding to your enquiry) and contractual necessity (delivering the services you have requested).
We will never use your data for unsolicited marketing without your explicit permission.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to any third parties.
We may share limited data with trusted third-party tools used to deliver our services, including:
- EmailJS — used to send email notifications when you submit a brief
- Your hosting provider — your submitted brief is stored securely on our server
All third-party tools we use are GDPR compliant and your data is never used for their own marketing purposes.
We retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected:
- Enquiry data — retained for 12 months from the date of submission
- Client project data — retained for 6 years for legal and financial record-keeping purposes
After these periods, your data will be securely deleted.

- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data

Payment — A 50% deposit is required before work commences. The remaining balance is due on project completion before the website goes live. We accept bank transfer and PayPal.
Revisions — All packages include up to 3 rounds of revisions. Additional revisions beyond this are charged at our standard hourly rate.
Client responsibilities — The client is responsible for providing accurate content, images and feedback in a timely manner. Delays caused by the client may affect the agreed timeline.
Intellectual property — Upon receipt of final payment, the client owns the completed website design. WebSpore retains the right to display the work in our portfolio unless otherwise agreed.
Cancellation — If a project is cancelled after work has commenced, the deposit is non-refundable. Any work completed beyond the deposit value will be invoiced accordingly.
Liability — WebSpore is not liable for any loss of business, revenue or data arising from the use or unavailability of a website we have built. Our liability is limited to the value of the project fee paid.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
